Commitees


Adopt-A-School Commitee
  An effective partnership between education, businesses and privatye sectors of the City of Baldwin park. The purpose of the program is to utilize the vast amounts of human resources and talents of the business community to strengthen, enhance, and enrich the quality of the public schools in the city. This committee also gives businesses the opportunity to promote their services and create good will among the students, parents, and teachers.

Ambassadors/Membership Development Committee
  Is the public relations arm of the Chamber. This committee is responsible for building the foundation of the Chamber through the retention and attraction of members. Committee members serve as a Chamber liaison to Chamber members, call or visit new and exciting members, attend, and greet attendees at ribbon cuttings, mixers and special events and promote the Chamber. Committee members benefit through recognition and publicity for their business, opportunities to make new contacts, expand their understanding of the community and the Chamber and develop relationships and support for fellow committee members and members of the community. The committee meets on the first Thursday of each month at 8:00 a.m.

Legislative Affairs Committee
  The Legislative Committee is to keep members informed and involved on legislative issues that may affect their everyday business activities. This committee keeps track on legislative activity at the local, state, and federal levels.

Fundraising & Fun Development Committees

Employee Recognition Luncheon & Fashion Show
  This Committee will be in charge of developing, planning and organizing this new for the Chamber. The Employee Recognition Luncheon & Fashion Show will give your businesses an opportunity to recognize their employees for their commitment and support.

Business/Business Person of the Year & Installation of Officers Committee
  This committee plans and organizes this dual Chamber event. The committee is in charge of revising the application for Business/Business person of the year, assist in the getting nominations, plans the time, the menu, designs the invitation, plans the agenda, and assists in every detail of the event.

Citizen of the Year/Young Entrepreneur of the Year Committee
  The committee for Citizen of the Year and for Young Entrepreneur of the Year revise the applications, assist in getting nominations, plans the theme of the event, organizes a panel of judges to evaluate the applications, organizes a panel of essay readers for the Young Entrepreneur of the year, plans the menu, assists in the design of the invitation, plans the agenda and assists in every detail of the event.

Golf Tournament Committee
  This committee organizes the Corporate Challenge Golf Tournament which has been part of the Chamber for over 20 years. This committee is in charge of choosing the golf course, assisting in the awards ceremony, establishing sponsorships and planning the activities for the day.
